Closed for the winter

Jan 8, 2010

We have closed for the winter this year.

Speed boat outside the speed limit

Aug 31, 2009

Flying Fish Tours is unique. Other speed boat operators are reduced to low speeds for the vast majority of their trip. They speed up for the short part between Wapping and Canary Wharf. With Flying Fish Tours, you meet at an exclusive and quiet pier next to the iconic Tower Bridge, and then speed off after your safety briefing. You go past Canary Wharf, where everyone else turns round, and then go on to Greenwich, the O2, and on to the amazing Thames Barrier. All with an entertaining guide. We really do offer great value, and love what we do. We look forward to seeing you on our trips.

Bank Holiday Weekend

Aug 25, 2009

Join us for a great long weekend on the River Thames. We go further and faster than any other speedboat ride in London, all with an entertaining guide.

Go as far as the Thames Barrier, via Greenwich Maritime Museum, the O2 Arena and all the sites of London on the way from the amazing Tower Bridge and Tower of London and HMS Belfast.

Hovercraft experience

Aug 4, 2009

The Tiger 12 is on the prowl in London. The only passenger tourist hovercraft in the UK to have full Maritime and Coastguard Agency certification is now in London. Departing from St. Katherine's Pier in London, you will experience the exciting transition from water to land and flying sideways. Challenge your senses with the only jet boat ride in London, and whilst you are here, come for a hovercraft experience. We look forward to welcoming you on board with our experienced pilots.

St. Katherine Pier

Apr 10, 2009

Moving to St. Katherine Pier provides a great central London location away from the crowds. This is a wonderful enclave next to the hustle and bustle of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, so you are never far from the action. It also allows us to provide a real speedboat experience away from the crowds. There are two trips. The first is under one hour, and takes in the main tourist attractions in the area all the way to the Thames Barrier, far further than any other speedboat ride in London. The second trip goes all the way to Westminster, and then downstream to the Thames Barrier. Compare our prices, and realise how much better value we offer. St. Katherine Pier also has a number of restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby by the marina in the dock, or overlooking the river. We look forward to meeting you soon.

Birthday treat

Jan 21, 2009

Just wanted to say how much the five boys you took on the 11.30am trip on Saturday enjoyed themselves. They had a marvellous time and have been full of it for the whole weekend as I think these comments make clear. "white knuckle ride" "beats going to a theme park by miles - it just goes on and on" "fantastic" "just soooo cool!" Birthday treats for a January birthday are always difficult to source and this just took the biscuit. My daughter already wants to book up when she is fiteen (few years yet). So thank you once again for giving these boys a great experience. Best wishes Dawn Blee

January trips

Jan 10, 2009

We are open all year round, and continue to provide the best value trip on the river, with the only jet boat ride in London. Weekend trips remain popular, going all the way to the Thames Barrier on every trip. This is further than any other regular trip, which normally go only to Canary Wharf. We are based at Blackfriars away from the crowds, so we can go faster more of the time than any other trip, providing a great fun ride. We hope to see you soon.

All trips to the Thames Barrier

Oct 29, 2008

All our trips go to the Thames Barrier. Our first trip of the day at weekends is at 11.30, and costs £36, taking under one and a half hours. Look at the price of other trips, and you will see that they cost £45, so this is great value so we are doing our bit for the credit crunch!

This trip starts at Blackfriars pier, and takes in the main sights of London towards Westminster and Vauxhall. This is guided, and takes in parts of London where there are speed restrictions so you can take in the sights.

Our trips throughout the day still take over one hour and leave from Blackfriars. We go straight downstream leaving the speed restrictions behind, past HMS Belfast, Tower of London and Tower Bridge, onto Greenwich Maritime Museum, the O2 Arena and then on to the amazing Thames Barrier.  We will point interesting facts in these guided parts of the trip.

These trips leave at 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm. Blackfriars is away from the crowds, with easy access by public transport or walking from the major railway stations. We think it is the best location in London for a speedboat company. The jet boat is truly amazing, and the only one of its kind in London.

November schedule

Oct 5, 2008

From November, our weekend early trip goes to the Thames Barrier, with trips for the rest of the day to the O2 Arena via Greenwich Maritime Museum. We go further than any other speedboat trip on the Thames. On Saturday and Sunday, come at 11.30am for a trip under one and a half hours, all the way to the Thames Barrier, via the London Eye, Vauxhall Mi6 and the Houses of Parliament. Trips throughout the day go to the O2 Arena via Greenwich Maritime Museum, further than any other speedboat ride on the Thames in under one hour. We are away from the speed limits under the bridges giving you a real and exciting speedboat ride. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Testimonial

Aug 26, 2008

I'm just contacting you to say thanks to yourself and the crew for an absolutely fantastic trip to the Thames Barrier
on Sunday 10th August.
It was fast exhilarating but never scary. My husband and I enjoyed it from start to finish. So much so we will be booking later in the year to bring our son. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone visiting London, as a must do activity.
Thanks once again and please thank the crew.

Kind Regards Bernadette Croston
